IDBI Bank Sucks Customer Reviews and Feedback
Industrial Development Bank of India (IDBI Bank Limited or IDBI Bank or IDBI) was established in 1964 by an Act to provide credit and other financial facilities for the development of the fledgling Indian industry. Many national institutes finds their roots in IDBI like SIDBI, Exim Bank, NSE and NSDL.
A former employee mentioned, "IDBI Bank is the worst place to work for, with no regard for employee welfare. The management has no clue on what it is doing and where it wants to go. The only thing you will find here is the constant pressure to work, work , work and even if you know what you are doing is wrong. Employees are encouraged to sit late, skip meals etc etc. Has to be hands down the worst place when it comes to treatment of employees. The bank says it uses cutting edge technology for banking, but the sad part is, the customers have no idea that they are using totally outdated software which constantly crashes and again it is an employee's fault if the customer complains about the digital banking facility. Wish i could give lesser stars as rating."

Assistant Manager (Former Employee) says"a typical work day include customer service, sales, cash handling, etc., i.e., things a normal person would expect from banks. An employee of IDBI Bank should be willing to carry out any kind of task. Unlike other public sector banks, IDBI bank does not recruit clerical cadre employees. There is no clear distinction between clerical task or tasks of higher responsibilities. IDBI Bank gives immense focus on branch banking with limited resource and support. Management is one key area that needs improvement. IDBI Bank is a PSB with private work culture Salary revision still pending. Officers' salaries comparatively less than other banks.regular salaryunsupportive staff"

Assistant Manager (Teller service executive) says"initially idbi was a DFI and now its a full fledged bank, hence all the difficulties arise due to this, pay scale, promotions are below average in the banking industry. and due to the prompt corrective action on it, it gets even more difficult to function in an independent manner, job securitylong working hours"
Assistant Manager (Former Employee) says"A typical work day would involve arriving at the branch at opening time and serving customers waiting in the morning. This would continue till close of public hours at 3:30 or 4 pm only. The hardest part of the job is that as an officer you are not expected to have a home life and give the full 24hrs to the bank. If a customer calls even in the middle of the night you are expected to answer. The enjoyable part is the friendly staff who work at the branches. They may look arrogant to the general public, but that is only because their boss is forcing them to give up their family for the bank.Marketing ExperienceNo banking knowledge required, long hours everyday"
